Part of the mission of STW is to empower others to make a difference in the world today. Some feel overwhelmed by the thought of Saving the World, but what everyone must understand is that we make the world a better place by our efforts as a team or by even the small efforts of many individuals. Do you have to recycle all of your communities trash? Sure it would be nice, but that may initially be more than you can handle. Just start by recycling more than you do now. If every household in the United States replaced one regular incandescent bulb with fluorescent bulb the energy saving would be amazing, not to mention the decreased pollution. STW encourages everyone to get involved no matter how large or small and make a difference.

STW offers small grants for those that are making a difference and can enhance their ability to make a difference with a small amount of money. At STW we take pride in our ability to make a little money go a long way. If you are making a difference and a small grant (usually $100 or less) would help, please email us and tell us what you are doing. We'll do everything we can to help.

If you or someone you know is making a difference, nominate them for the STW Making a Difference Award (the STW MAD Award). We want to recognize everyone we can and inspire others to also make a difference. You can email this nomination to STW as well. There is no specific format. Just tell us how the nominee is making a difference and include the nominee's email address and pictures of the individual making a difference.
